Come out in solidarity
📢🏫🕓 Join us on Tuesday, December 16 at 4pm at City Hall for a press conference to update our community about the status of teacher negotiations.
💥Dr. Negrón, Mayor Elicker, and his Board of Education have forced us to declare impasse and prepare for arbitration because they are unwilling to agree to our reasonable proposals on health insurance, salary, class size, and special education supports.
💥The city's current offer will drive hundreds of dedicated and hardworking teachers and professionals out of New Haven, leaving even more students without the teachers and support they need to thrive.
💥We are fighting for a fair contract. We are fighting for affordable healthcare. We are fighting for lower class sizes. We are fighting for special education caseloads and support. And it's possible!
📈💰📰The city's surplus is at its highest in years. The Mayor celebrates that "New Haven is booming." And Yale continues to hoard wealth while the rest of the city suffers. There is no reason for our schools to be understaffed and undermaintained - We demand Real Solutions Now!
🗓Join us on Tuesday and let's keep up the pressure as we fight the schools we all deserve.
