Important Notice Regarding Concealed Carry Permits. We have received inquiries about implementing a National Concealed Carry Permit. Various online ads on YouTube and Facebook offer a free National Concealed Carry Permit, but these are fraudulent schemes. When attempting to apply, individuals are asked for payment. Currently, there is no National Concealed Carry Permit available. Although the Federal Government has discussed developing one, no such program exists. We advise against applying for these non-existent permits.

🌡️ Extreme Heat Reminder 🌡️

Please check on your neighbors, family members, and loved ones—especially older adults, young children, and anyone who may be more susceptible to heat-related illnesses.

If you or someone you know needs a place to cool off, local cooling stations are available at:
• Norwalk Ernsthausen Recreation Center
• Norwalk Police Station
• Norwalk Fire Station

Remember to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.

Let's all do our part to help keep our community safe during this heat. ☀️💙

High temperatures can quickly lead to heat-related illnesses. Stay cool by seeking air conditioning or shade, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding strenuous activity during peak heat. Outdoor workers should take frequent breaks, wear lightweight clothing, use sun protection, and monitor for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

Please be advised that all 911 calls have been temporarily rerouted to the Norwalk Police Department to ensure emergency calls continue to be answered and dispatched appropriately.
