On Monday evening, we had the privilege of recognizing the dedicated members of the Huron County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services for their years of volunteer service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving behavioral health services in our community.

Serving on a Board is a significant responsibility, and these individuals have consistently demonstrated a willingness to combine civic responsibility with selfless service. Their leadership and dedication have made a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness and addiction throughout Huron County.

As we gathered for what was the final meeting of the Huron County MHAS Board, we reflected on the many accomplishments achieved through their service. Their commitment has helped build a stronger foundation for behavioral health services and expanded access to care for those who need it most.

Effective July 1, 2026, Huron County will join Seneca, Sandusky, Ottawa, and Wyandot Counties to form the North Central Behavioral Health Board. While this marks the end of an important chapter, it also represents the beginning of a new opportunity to strengthen services, enhance collaboration, and improve outcomes across the five-county district.

We extend our sincere gratitude to each Board member for their service and dedication. Your impact will be felt for years to come.

Please join us in thanking these outstanding community leaders for their commitment to mental health, recovery, and the well-being of our residents. 💙 Mhas Board
