Today I'm proud to share information about two upcoming food opportunities for Norwalk residents.

The first is through the , .fc, . They are partnering to launch the Norwalk Community Health Sprout & Share Program at the NHCH Farmers Market on June 3.

This Farmers Market will be every Wednesday from 11AM-3PM during Farmers Market season.

Community members, shoppers, and vendors can all participate.

We are also partnering with Summer Meals Program. This summer from July 6-31, Monday through Friday, any child, 18 years of age and under, can receive one free breakfast and one free lunch per day (at any of those open meal sites).

We are so excited for the launch of the Sprout & Share Program with Norwalk Community Health Center and Food Rescue US - Fairfield County.

Help us strengthen access to fresh produce and reduce food waste!
🍎Donate extra produce grown in your home or community garden plot
🍎Purchase an additional item at the Farmer's Market to donate
🍎Participating market vendors can donate unsold produce

The program begins Wednesday, June 3rd, at the Norwalk Community Health Center Farmer's Market (120 Connecticut Avenue) from 11 AM - 3 PM. It will continue each Wednesday during the Farmer's Market season.

Air quality levels may range from moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups during this time. 🌫️

👶👵 Sensitive Groups (young children, older adults, and anyone with pre-existing heart or lung conditions):
• Keep outdoor activities shorter and less intense
• Take frequent breaks when outside
• Watch for symptoms like coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath
