This Friday is our last Mini Pop-up Farmer's Market for the summer, and you don't want to miss it!! Thanks to an anonymous donor, we'll be adding approximately 500 lbs. of FRESH PRODUCE to our market this month, as well as our CSA offering, and assorted breads and other treats! Be sure to come by to pick up some great items, as you get ready to head into the holiday week. This program is open Norwell residents age 60+ and IS NOT a needs-based program. It's a nice-to-do program!

We are grateful to all of our volunteers who have helped prepare and run our monthly markets, Sough Shore Community Action Council and their partners for providing items, Norwell Food Pantry, R&C Farms and our anonymous donor for making this program possible!

We are excited about our second season of offering farm fresh produce! Today is our first offering of Romaine, red leaf lettuce, bok choy, collards and kale.

This program is made possible through generous donations from Tutti Bellissima Intimates and R & C Farms. We'll be able to offer fresh seasonal veggies through October 1! Watch for our weekly posts!

Today is World Elder Abuse day. Elder abuse happens in several ways, not just financial or physical. This is a good reminder if you see, something, say something.

💜 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: See Something? Say Something.

Every older adult deserves to age with dignity, respect, and safety. Yet millions of older adults experience abuse, neglect, exploitation, or scams each year—often at the hands of someone they know and trust.

👀 Warning Signs of Elder Abuse May Include:
• Unexplained injuries, bruises, or frequent accidents
• Sudden changes in mood, behavior, or social withdrawal
• Poor hygiene, lack of food, or unmet medical needs
• Unusual bank withdrawals or missing money and belongings
• A caregiver who is controlling, isolating, or unwilling to leave the person alone

💡 What You Can Do:
✅ Check in with older neighbors, friends, and family members regularly.
✅ Listen without judgment if someone shares concerns.
✅ Document what you observe if something doesn't seem right.
✅ Report concerns—even if you're not certain abuse is occurring.

📞 Resources:
• Contact your local Adult Protective Services program.
• Call the National Elder Fraud Hotline: 833-FRAUD-11 (833-372-8311).
• In an emergency or if someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

💜 A simple conversation, phone call, or wellness check can make a difference. Together, we can help create communities where older adults are safe, valued, and supported.
