The Norwell Council on Aging is a municipal department established in 1966 to provide information, referrals and services to Norwell residents aged 60 and older, and adults of all ages with documented disabilities. Today, the staff at the Norwell Senior Center is available to assist the more than 2,500 older Norwell residents and their families in responding to a myriad of life transitions. We look forward to meeting you and join you on your journey. Our Community Services Coordinator Martha Shanahan, will be offering a Medicare 101 seminar Tomorrow -Thursday, October 15th, 2:00—3:00 PM at Norwell Public Library

The wild world of Medicare can be overwhelming and confusing. If you are fast approaching 65 or planning to retire in the near future and giving up employee coverage then this seminar is for you! The next Caring for the Caregiver webinar can help.

Navigating End-of-Life Planning and Discussions as a Family Caregiver will explore how to start meaningful conversations about wishes, priorities and what matters most—before a crisis occurs.

Lisa Pahl, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Practice Hospice and Palliative Social Worker, will offer guidance for making these conversations feel a little less scary and a lot more manageable.
