**UPDATE** Our Community came through for Senty!!! Thanks to your tips and assistance, Senty was located safe and sound. Thank you for those who reached out **UPDATE**

The Norwich Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing person.

Senty Sotam was reported missing on August 14, 2026. He is believed to be homeless and last known to frequent the downtown area in Norwich, Connecticut. Senty Sotam was last seen approximately one month ago and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Wisniewski of the Norwich Police Department at 860-886-5561.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At approximately 11:55 a.m. this morning, Norwich Police Dispatch received several 911 calls regarding a disturbance which involved gunfire.

Patrol Officers encountered a vehicle which was suspected of being involved, on Maennnerchor Avenue. Within the vehicle, Officers located two adult subjects suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the subjects suffered a fatal gunshot while the other is being treated at an area hospital.

Norwich Police Department has made contact with all involved parties and there is no ongoing public safety threat.
