About Chenango County WIC
WIC is a federally funded supplemental food and nutrition education program for women (pregnant, breastfeeding or up to 6 months postpartum), infants and children to the age of five that provides:

- Nutrition Education
- Healthy Food Vouchers
- Breastfeeding Support
- Healthcare Referrals

The purpose of this site is to promote New York State WIC Program services to the

community. Wanda is the New York State Department of Health’s WIC virtual assistant. In less than three minutes, potentially eligible participants can chat with Wanda in English or Spanish to learn about WIC, find out if they may be eligible, and get referrals to WIC offices near them. Wanda is easy to use on a computer, tablet or phone.

Today was our kick-off for our annual Lead Walk, with this years theme being "LEAD: BEYOND THE PAINT"! This year we will be visiting Afton, Bainbridge, Greene, Guilford, McDonough, New Berlin, Norwich, North Norwich, Oxford, Plymouth, Sherburne, and Smithville. Look for yellow doorknob hangers on your front door to access the educational information about lead poisoning. Additional information on the second side of the doorknob hangers about TICKS AND ANAPLASMOSIS will also be distributed. Staff will be leaving this information at each residence in your town or village starting today (5/13) through the month of June.
