📣 Calling All Able-Bodied Adults and Teenagers!

The Norwich YMCA is in urgent need of volunteers for the 2025 Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament!

As a non-profit organization, the YMCA depends on community support and volunteerism to keep events like this successful and running smoothly. With over 1,200 players and 316 teams registered, we cannot do this without YOU.

Please take a moment to review the volunteer opportunities below and consider how you can lend a hand:

🔢 Scorekeepers

When: Saturday and/or Sunday

Shifts: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM, or full day

What: Keep score and assist with game flow on the courts

📝 Registration
When:
• Friday at the Norwich Fire House, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday at the Norwich Fire House, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

What: Help check in players and distribute materials

💧 Water Runners

When: Saturday and/or Sunday

Shifts: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

What: Deliver water to courts and ensure teams stay hydrated
🗑️ Garbage Cleanup

When: Saturday and/or Sunday

Shifts: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

What: Help keep our downtown clean and tournament-ready
🧱 Tear Down Crew
When: Sunday, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
What: Assist with breaking down courts, signs, and equipment.
This is your chance to give back, support youth and community sports, and be part of one of Norwich’s biggest weekends of the year.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. This is my final push before we hold our local fundraising event tomorrow at the Canasawacta Country Club. I'm just a few dollars shy of my goal, any amount will help. A big tank you to all that have already and a thank you in advance to those that may still donate!

Thank you all that have donated to my St. Baldrick's fundraiser page! 6 days to go before our local event takes place so if you haven't made a donation there is still plenty of time to do so. More children die of childhood cancer than any other disease in the U.S., and every year 300,000 kids worldwide are diagnosed. St. Baldrick's is helping to fund research that is working to help find real cures for this awful disease. Here is a link to my donation page, thank you in advance.
