Billy Manning is missed by our entire Department!!!
19 years ago today, we lost a friend, a brother, and an incredible police officer to su***de.
You were so much more than the badge you wore. You were a beloved son, a husband, and a father to two incredible children. You were a coworker who became a friend, and someone who made a lasting impact on the people fortunate enough to know you.
Nineteen years have passed, but time doesn’t erase the ball busting and great memories we had working together. It doesn’t erase the friendship, the laughs, the conversations, or the respect we had for you. Most importantly, it doesn’t erase the place you hold in the hearts of your family, friends, and those who served alongside you. I still wish I had known more and it didn’t have to end that way.
Today, I remember the man behind the badge—a good man, a dedicated police officer, and a friend who is still missed.
I hope your family knows that you are still remembered, still spoken about often, and still loved by the people whose lives you touched.
Rest easy, Billy. You will never be forgotten.💙
