We were happy to host our second S130-190 with assistance from DFPC, Forest Service, BLM, Montrose Helitac. We had a great turnout including people from Montrose County Road and Bridge, Egnar Fire District, Ridgeway, San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office, and of course our group of cadets from the High School. They all did a wonderful job, and worked hard!

Hi everyone,

A quick message and reminder that wildfire season is off and running in Colorado, as well as other parts of the country. Our area is dry, and wildfire risk is extremely high.

If you intend to burn, we are available to stand by for safety. Please call the station to set up a time. If you feel you can burn safely by yourself, do not forget to call your non-emergency dispatch center to let them know. We may be dispatched to your fire if we do not know of a controlled burn in your area.

Please be vigilant, and be safe.
