The Northern Valley Junior Knights are holding a car wash fundraiser in the Fire Dept parking lot on Saturday 7/25 from 10AM-4PM. Please use caution driving through the area and stop by to support our student athletes.

Summit Street has reopened. Today's paving covered more ground than initially expected and reached Hudson Avenue. The paving company requested that no one park on the freshly paved road tonight to give the fresh asphalt additional time to dry.

Paving will continue tomorrow on Summit Street from Hudson Avenue to Broadway. Expect the road to be closed to vehicles until the early evening.

Please keep all vehicles off of Summit Street between Rockland Avenue and the Northvale border until 4PM to allow the fresh pavement to dry.

Construction update for this coming week: Monday 7/13 milling and cleanup will continue on Broadway and Summit Street, and paving will begin Tuesday 7/14 - Wednesday 7/15. Also, on the east side of town, milling and paving will be done at the intersection of Westwind and Madison, also going from Monday - Wednesday. Please listen to all officers on scene and follow street signs. The crew will do their best to get residents in and out, but please expect to NOT be able to utilize the streets until at least Wednesday evening. Paving needs to sit and cool before cars can travel on the roads. Thank you for you cooperation and understanding.

Two construction jobs within the Borough will be starting this week:

The milling/paving of Summit Street (north of Broadway to the Northvale border) will begin on Thursday July 9th.

Water company work on Mills Avenue will begin on Friday July 10.

Officers will be at both locations to assist.
