School is back in session! Our kiddos are excited to kick off a new school year filled with new experiences, learning, friendships, and lots of fun! And a big welcome back to our amazing drivers, who are back on the road and ready to roll! 🚐💜

For the past 7 years, NMCS has partnered with Art from the Heart to bring creative experiences to our after-school students. With guidance from Teacher Kathy, students explore different artists, techniques, and mediums while creating artwork that's uniquely their own. 🎨💜

Our kindergarteners and 1st graders enjoyed a special yoga experience in our gym with ! Our 28 young learners had the opportunity to explore yoga, mindfulness, movement, and creative arts and crafts.

Experiences like these help promote mind-body connection, body awareness, healthy energy release, and social-emotional development- all while having fun! 💙

A big thank you to Upside Down Yoga Kids for helping our little ones move, breathe, create, and grow 🧘‍♂️

Egg-cellent engineering in action! 🥚
Our young engineers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test by designing contraptions to protect an egg from a big drop off the top of the play structure. The excitement was high as teachers put each invention to the test!
Many of our teachers remember doing the very same egg drop challenge when they were in elementary school. It was a fun full-circle moment to pass on a favorite childhood STEM activity to the next generation of learners.

There were smiles, giggles, and lots of dancing when our special guest, Sloan Takeuchi-Ross from Refine Dance Collective, stopped by to share the joy of movement with our little learners!

Thank you, Sloan, for bringing your creativity, energy, and love of dance to our classroom. Our children had so much fun exploring new moves and expressing themselves through dance!
