onstructive feedback. In order to achieve this goal, NUSD and schools will not edit comments, but reserves the right to remove comments if they don’t follow certain guidelines stated below:

Comments that will be removed include, but are not limited to:
- Unrelated to the District or post itself
- Personal attacks on staff members or other users on this page
- Foul language (comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language; hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content; threats; obscene or sexually explicit language will be removed).
- “Trolling” (making deliberately offensive or provocative post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them)
- Inflammatory or inaccurate information
- Spam
- Off-topic comments
- Comments containing links to external sources
- Comments with the intent to sell a product or service

Users who continually violate these guidelines will be banned from the NUSD Facebook and/or Instagram page and possibly reported to Meta depending upon the severity of the violation.

There’s already plenty of energy and connection happening on campus as the Novato High School community prepares for the first day of school!

From teachers reconnecting to Next Gen STEM students bonding over bread, to students coming together for the MSA Orientation Town Hall, it’s great to see students and staff building community before the school year even begins.

One of the fun traditions for seniors at Novato High School and San Marin High School is the chance to personalize their parking spaces, and this year's seniors are already showing off their creativity!

From colorful designs to messages that reflect their personalities, students are putting their own stamp on campus as they prepare for an exciting senior year.

At this week's Board of Trustees meeting (8/11/26), NUSD was pleased to introduce Mara Mayock, our new Coordinator of Student Support & Wellness.

In her role, Mara will help lead and coordinate student support and wellness programs across the district, collaborating with schools, staff, students, families, and community partners to promote student well-being, connection, and success.

We're excited to welcome Mara to the NUSD team and look forward to the positive impact she'll have throughout our school community.

Our teachers are already preparing for an incredible school year!
This week, NUSD math teachers gathered at Lynwood Elementary School for an engaging countywide professional learning session on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics.

By collaborating, sharing ideas, and exploring instructional strategies that foster critical thinking and problem-solving, our educators continue to invest in every student's success. A big thank you to all our NUSD math teachers who participated and to Lynwood Elementary for hosting this inspiring event.👏🏿📣
