The Novato Unified School District Facebook and Instagram welcomes and encourages a dialogue between community members, followers, the district and school(s). We want this to be a forum to discuss educational issues, share experiences and feelings, and provide c

onstructive feedback. In order to achieve this goal, NUSD and schools will not edit comments, but reserves the right to remove comments if they don’t follow certain guidelines stated below:

Comments that will be removed include, but are not limited to:
- Unrelated to the District or post itself
- Personal attacks on staff members or other users on this page
- Foul language (comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language; hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content; threats; obscene or sexually explicit language will be removed).
- “Trolling” (making deliberately offensive or provocative post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them)
- Inflammatory or inaccurate information
- Spam
- Off-topic comments
- Comments containing links to external sources
- Comments with the intent to sell a product or service

Users who continually violate these guidelines will be banned from the NUSD Facebook and/or Instagram page and possibly reported to Meta depending upon the severity of the violation.

A wonderful event was held at Angelico Concert Hall, Dominican University, last week honoring Tehniat Cheema as Educator of the Year, School Fuel as NUSD’s Community Partner, and the outstanding classified and certificated staff members from schools across the district.

Congratulations to the RISE Hamilton K-8 School Chess Team for an incredible performance at the 2026 U.S. Chess National Middle School Championship in Texas! ♟️🏆

The team placed 5th in their division, and 7th grader Alex Alaniz earned a perfect 7-0 record to win the National Division Championship against more than 200 players! Seven team members also earned individual medals.

So proud of these students for demonstrating grit, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the national stage!
