In 2025, the traditional week-long National Apprenticeship Week will be replaced by a single National Apprenticeship Day on April 30. SEMCA Michigan Works! Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) declares April 30, 2025, as National Apprenticeship Day in Southeast Michigan.
National Apprenticeship Day is celebrating its 11th anniversary of raising awareness on the vital role apprenticeships play in preparing the future labor force in southeast Michigan with the qualifications and competencies needed for a strong and highly-skilled workforce.
In April, the WIN Board of Directors has already hosted over 20 regional events—including career fairs, social media appreciation campaigns, industry tours, workshops, and networking sessions—aiming to elevate awareness of apprenticeships and equip career seekers and employers with the skills needed to thrive in today’s labor market.
