I had the opportunity to speak to and mentor Detroit youth at an event with Sankofa, a nonprofit organization that supports Black children and students through scholarships, educational opportunities, and youth leadership programs.

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an an evening than investing in our young people and helping them develop the leadership skills they need to succeed!

I’m honored to have the endorsement of POSSE.

Since 2018, POSSE has worked to hold Michigan State accountable for the Larry Nassar survivors and their families. Their trust means a great deal to me as a mom of two Spartans.

My approach is simple. I will listen to students, faculty, and staff face to face, and I will be open about how I serve. It is essential that we listen to those who are unable or unwilling to be heard on their own. POSSE has done a remarkable job of taking an unimaginable and very personal experience and amplifying the individual's voice to the level it deserves.

In 2024, I got to know some of POSSE's parents and most ardent supporters and I am proud to have their support.

MSU deserves a board that families can trust.

On November 3, I ask for your vote for MSU Board of Trustees. I hope to serve the students in a way I would want my kids to be served at MSU when they were here. The students deserve better.

What a great time at the MSU Homecoming tailgate with Doug Lloyd! 💚🤍

It was wonderful meeting so many engaged and enthusiastic students and hearing what matters to them. I also enjoyed meeting Julie Maday and connecting with so many great Spartans.

There’s nothing quite like the energy of Homecoming at Michigan State! Go Green! 💚🤍

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I had my breast cancer check up today, and it’s always a good reminder that even when life gets busy, we need to make time for ourselves and our health.

So ladies, if you’re due for your mammogram or check up, make that appointment! Early detection matters.

And sending lots of love to everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.

This survivor is grateful for pink ribbons and bows and the breakthrough of early detection in this fight 1 and 8 woman go through💗

This campaign has always been about bringing a strong, independent voice to the MSU Board of Trustees...one that will ask tough questions, demand transparency and accountability, and always put the best interests of Michigan State University and its students first.
