Starting at this time there is to be NO Outdoor burning inside the City Limits Of Nowata because of the extreme Fire Danger we are under. We will update when it is ok to resume burning brush. Grilling food and smoking meat and other food is ok at this time. Just no open flames.

Tomorrow 08/30/2024 demolition will begin on the old Rex Theatre. We are anticipating a large crowd showing up to watch the demolition.
Barricades will be in place to keep citizens at a safe distance. We ask that you do not cross the barricades for your safety. Anyone crossing the barricades will not only place themselves in danger but could face a fine. Our goal is for individuals to enjoy watching the demolition in a safe manner.
Remember the bricks from the building are now the property of Taylor Crane. Any bricks taken from the site will constitute petit larceny.
Thanks Chief McELhaney
