The Nowata County Sheriff's Office has lost our leader and hero. Sheriff Hallett passed away peacefully in the arms of the love of his life Mirta "Mickey" Hallett. Please say a prayer for us all to get through this difficult time. The funeral will be June 9th at 10am at the First Church of God with Clinton Hallett officiating. Visitation from 6 to 8pm at Benjamin Funeral Home in Nowata.

The Nowata County Sheriff's Office is saddened to report our Deputy Frank Miller has passed away. Deputy Miller was hired in 2025 to work investigations for Nowats County after retiring as Captain from Craig County Sheriff's Office. Praying for the family.
