Hey residents! We need your help! There is a sunken boat at Pickerel Lake, and due to DNR laws we are unable to remove it for a minimum of 2 weeks. Nowthen Residents! It’s Nowthen Fire Friday!🔥We want to formally invite you to the Nowthen Fire Department's Open House! It will take place during the Heritage Festival at the Fire Station from 11:00 to 2:00. There will be a Car Extrication Demonstration at 12:30. We will also have station tours, kids' fire hats, hiring information, and an opportunity to meet and talk with your local firefighters! We are looking forward to it and hope to see you there!

Nowthen Residents! It’s Nowthen Fire Friday!🔥This past Wednesday, NFD practiced medical training by working with a SimMan training prop. The SimMan training device adds a new level of fidelity and a more realistic patient interaction. Our team was able to practice emergency patient care as well as drawing adrenaline into syringes. They also practiced drawing medication into syringes because NFD will be moving away from Epi auto-injectors and will instead have individual doses, which are a fraction of the cost, yet just as effective. NFD is always working to improve patient care and save costs where possible. As always, we are thankful to the men and women who serve in our department. Thank you for being so prepared to help when there is a need!

Primary Election Day is tomorrow! All Nowthen residents will vote at Nowthen Alliance Church, located at 19653 Nowthen Blvd. The polls will open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM.
It is helpful to know your precinct before arriving on election day. If you do not know it, you can look it up here: https://pollfinder.sos.mn.gov/ You can find what is on your ballot by clicking that link as well. See you at the polls!
