Our department is made up of approximately 15 dedicated men and woman that are dedicated to saving life and property.

🚫 BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🚫
Winston County is currently under a burn ban to protect lives, property, and natural resources. οΏΌ

πŸ“… Burn Ban Effective Immediately
The burn ban will remain in effect until April 6, 2026 (subject to change).

πŸ”₯ WHAT THIS MEANS:
β€’ No outdoor burning of any kind β€” including debris fires, brush burning, bonfires, burn barrels, and field burning.
β€’ Open flames that produce sparks or embers are strictly prohibited.
β€’ Charcoal grills and propane/gas grills may be used responsibly where permitted by local ordinances.
β€’ Violators of the ban may be subject to fines and penalties under county and state law. οΏΌ

πŸ“Œ WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT:
Dry conditions dramatically increase the risk of wildfires and can lead to uncontrollable fires that threaten homes, forests, and lives.

⚠️ ENFORCEMENT:
This ban is enforced by the local authorities of Winston County.

There is a main water line break on Laura Street in Noxapater. This has all water to the town currently shut off. The crews are ready to work to get this fixed, however they have to wait for people to locate any underground lines close to where they have to work. Please avoid Laura Sweet if at all possible.

Engine 1 is officially in service it has been a long time coming. Thank you to Winston county EMA , Winston county supervisor, and everyone else who played a part in this. This is 6 of 9 new trucks coming to Winston county to better provide fire protection for our communities.
