Winston County is currently under a burn ban to protect lives, property, and natural resources. ๏ฟผ

Burn Ban Effective Immediately
The burn ban will remain in effect until April 6, 2026 (subject to change).
๐ฅ WHAT THIS MEANS:
โข No outdoor burning of any kind โ including debris fires, brush burning, bonfires, burn barrels, and field burning.
โข Open flames that produce sparks or embers are strictly prohibited.
โข Charcoal grills and propane/gas grills may be used responsibly where permitted by local ordinances.
โข Violators of the ban may be subject to fines and penalties under county and state law. ๏ฟผ
๐ WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT:
Dry conditions dramatically increase the risk of wildfires and can lead to uncontrollable fires that threaten homes, forests, and lives.
โ ๏ธ ENFORCEMENT:
This ban is enforced by the local authorities of Winston County.
