Today was another busy day for Station 101 as we prepare for our Noxen Volunteer Fire Co. 2026 Rattlesnake Roundup.

While volunteers worked around the grounds on different projects, Tanker 101 attened the Trucksville Firemens Parade. Several volunteers from Station 101 also attended the parade to assist with traffic control during the parade.

At 17:50 Station 101 was requested to assist Sweet Valley Fire in Luzerne County for traffic contorl to assist with live wires down on Mooretown Road, Station 101 also assisted Sweet Valley with multiple trees down in Lake Township. The Sweet Valley area was hit hard this afternoon/evening with a strong storm cell.

We certainly can't thank our volunteers enough for their continued Hard Work and Dedication!!

Please join us in Congratulating Gharrison Ayers and John Gillen on their High School Graduation!!

Gharrison and John have been instrumental to our Fire Company; from fundraising, to truck and equipment maintenance, to training, and answering the call.

Both young men joined as junior firefighters and both are now active firefighters.

Gharrison will be attending Northeast Lineman School in 2027.

John will be entering the workforce.

Gentlemen, all of us at Station 101 are extremely proud of you both! We hope no matter what, all roads will lead "home", where we can continue watching you achieve many things in your lives all while serving along side of you!

Squad 101 and Tanker 101 attended the annual Sweet Valley Fair Parade today.

Shortly after returning from the parade Station 101 along with Kunkle EMS would be dispatched to the area of SR 29 and SR 415 for a 2 Car MVA with entrapment and multiple patients.

Station 101 was assisted by Harveys Lake Fire and Ambulance, Kunkle EMS, and PSP througout the incident.

We are so proud of all our junior firefighters! We have several juniors that attend other schools and unfortunately were not recognized, however their commitment and dedication is nothing short!!

Our program is doing very well!

Get the youth involved! They're not only the future of our community but the future of our great nation!

Summer time is the perfect time to get them involved!

At the recent Lake-Lehman School Board meeting, Noxen Volunteer Fire Company junior firefighters Gharrison Ayers, Gage Degraw, and John Gillen were recognized alongside fellow junior members from Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS, Harveys Lake Volunteer Fire Company, and Idetown Volunteer Fire Company.

Throughout the school year, these dedicated young firefighters played an important role in supporting school safety initiatives and emergency drills. Their willingness to serve and contribute demonstrates a strong commitment to both their departments and the broader community.

Thank you, Gharrison, Gage, John, and all of the junior firefighters, for the many ways you give back. Your dedication, teamwork, and sense of responsibility are making a real difference.

Your leadership at such a young age is truly outstanding, and our community is fortunate to have you.

Missing are Junior Firefighters Brendan Traver and Kenny Williams.

Our junior firefighter program is thriving with 8 junior firefighters in total; Gharrison and John have "Graduated" from our program and are now active volunteer firefighters!
