Officers and members of Chelsea Hook & Ladder Company No. 2 were honored to march alongside the Nyack Fire Department in Nyack’s annual Memorial Day Parade, paying tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and the freedoms we cherish.

During the parade, members of Chelsea also responded to an automatic alarm, answering the call to serve without hesitation.

Last night, officers and members of Chelsea H&L cross trained with Jackson Hose. Training focused on hose line operations and aerial operations, helping ensure our members are well-rounded and ready to handle whatever job needs to be done on the fire scene.

The officers of Chelsea Hook & Ladder had a great time this morning running the Piermont 5K and supporting the community. Congratulations to 1st Lt. Sigmon for earning Fastest Female Firefighter!

Chelsea H&L officers and members assisted Empire H&L at their fire prevention event for the Girl Scouts. The scouts got a tour of the 10-99 and learned all about what a truck company does, both in the community and on the fire scene. A great evening of education, teamwork, and fun!

Today, officers and members of Chelsea H&L and Nyack FD provided coverage for the 2026 Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day Parade alongside Tappan FD.

Today, officers from Chelsea H&L proudly represented the Nyack Fire Department at the Rockland County First Responders Cup, hosted by Reps for Responders at American Made Performance.

It was an incredible experience being surrounded by such amazing people, energy, and support. Everyone gave their all and truly exemplified the fitness, dedication, and intensity required to be a first responder.

Huge thank you to Reps for Responders, American Made Performance, and all the sponsors who made this event possible!

For Tuesday’s drill, officers and members of Chelsea H&L teamed up with Empire H&L for a hands-on training session focused on ladder operations. Crews practiced multiple methods for raising extension ladders, safely carrying tools while climbing, and executing proper roof access techniques. The drill also included aerial operations for window entry scenarios and featured the deployment of a 40’ extension ladder. Strong work and great collaboration all around!

This past Sunday at drill, members of Chelsea H&L familiarized themselves with Highland Hose’s 10-Tanker and trained alongside other members of the Nyack FD to flow 10-99’s ladder pipe and help build aerial confidence for our newer members.
