Congratulations to Dalton Patton, Recreation Manager, on being elected to serve as the Sports Section Chair for the Missouri Park and Recreation Association!

"Having grown up in youth sports and spent the last eight years working full time in parks and recreation, I know the impact that recreation can have on individuals, families, and communities. I’m looking forward to working alongside recreation professionals across Missouri to help continue growing and strengthening recreational sports for the next generation, including my own kids. Mark your calendars - the next Senior Seminar at the O'Fallon Senior Center is Wednesday, June 17th.

Our June topic is "Understanding Today's Real Estate." Learn how the way residential real estate is sold has changed over the years and how picking an experienced REALTOR® can make all the difference. We’ll delve into the three most common ways to sell a home and how best to maximize what your home ultimately sells for. We’ll also discuss: Simple aging in place strategies; How maintaining your home pays off; How to deal with the personal items you decide to leave behind when you sell your home.

Senior Seminars are brought to you by Ted Gottlieb, Certified Senior Advisor and founder of the Senior Learning Institute. Senior Seminars are always free to attend! RSVP at www.ofallonmo.gov/adult-activities

Step back in time at our Homestead Days this Sunday, June 14!

Experience life at the Heald Home and Zumwalt's Fort as it would have been in the early Missouri pioneer days. Visitors can explore the historic sites alongside knowledgeable docents and partners enjoying guided tours and hands-on activities.

Gardening and herbs played a supporting role in homestead life, providing food, flavor, and practical household uses. Following the tour, visitors may participate in a hands-on herb planting activity and take home their own small herb garden.

Tickets are $6/person and include admission to both sites and participation in special themed activities. Learn more about Homestead Days and purchase your tickets here: www.ofallonmo.gov/historic-tours
