Just got an email that they are going to be paving the YMCA parking lot this month.
Here is the schedule I received.

Sept 4th and 5th will be the section from the front door of the "Y" if facing the door....everything to your left out to the driveway by the Sleep Center.That entrance will be closed those days.

Sept 9th and 10th will be the entire other half of the parking lot to the right and around to the back.
That entrance will be closed those days.

They also said these dates are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances.

today several of us went to a meeting that helped us learn more about how to prevent or avoid falls and slips, etc.
And how to get up if you do fallā€¦
We even had a volunteer.. way to go Tom, I didnā€™t think you had it in you!
Big, thanks for volunteering cause I know it hurt.. šŸ˜‰šŸ˜

It was a small group, but we had a great time and as always great food at lunch today .We will probably do it again next...

Yay!!! the YMCA AOA (active older adults) ļæ¼trips for 2027 have been put on their schedule.
Check these out.. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s one you might like to go on with us.
Iā€™m going to Colorado.. and then Iā€™m trying to decide between Washington DC and Chicago ā€¦ both sound like a lot of fun. šŸ¤©

yesterday some of the summer camp kids ļæ¼got together and created their own submersibles with a little help from some engineersā€¦ they really did a fantastic job. The little submersibles went down and picked up a something or other from the bottom of the pool that was placed there for them and brought it back upā€¦. And Iā€™m told they built these in only a day!
What a great job the YMCA does for the kids during the summer and all the fantastic activities they have ā˜ŗļøšŸ¤©
