Just saying Thank You to our prosecutors and staff at the St Clair County State's Attorney's office. They do a tremendous job and rarely get recognized for it. We like to remind them that they are appreciated by serving up some fantastic food from Joe's Pizza & Pasta of Fairview Heights.

Last week OPD officers took on yet another event to give back to the community. They decided to start a program aimed to helping build bonds with High School age kids in our community.

With the help of the Social Workers at OTHS - O'Fallon Township High School District 203 and our SROs we were able to take 9 OTHS students shopping at Academy Sports for some Christmas gifts. Thanks to Academy Sports + Outdoors for the partnership

Help us come up with a name for what we hope will become an annual event.

Cops and Kids for the grade school kids

The holiday spirit was in full swing Sunday morning as O’Fallon police officers helped 50 children shop for presents for themselves and their families.

🚔🎄🚔COPS & KIDS 2025🚔🎄🚔

Smiles and Laughter were plentiful at the O'Fallon, IL. WalMart Sunday morning. Officers from your O'Fallon IL Police Dept escorted approximately 48 children on a shopping spree for Christmas. They were served a healthy breakfast with options of bagels from St Louis Bread Co (donated- thank you) and of course power rings from Wood Bakery (donated as well- Thank you).

After getting fueled up they were off to the races to the toy section, although some chose electronics and clothing first.

Carts were full of toys/clothing
Registers were full of our money💵
Hearts were full of JOY🤗🤗

Our officer volunteer their time their a few nights a week, pick the right night and they may have a Free Gia's pizza coupon with the purchase of your tree.

Kicks 4 The Soul 2025

O'Fallon FOP Members 👮🏾‍♂️🚔👮🏻‍♀️were able to take 30 Jr High Age kids shopping for new shoes and new clothes at Academy Sports + Outdoors. This program started 6 years ago and each year we are amazed at the appreciation of these teenagers.

Thank you to our sponsors who make this possible.

Sending teens to school with new shoes and new clothes can provide them a boost in self confidence that can translate to better grades in the classroom. Sorry we don't post more photos but in this age group where teens can be ruthless we do not want to put out who we helped. Just know the 😁 were plentiful.

ILLINOIS STATE POLICE INVESTIGATES OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING IN O’FALLON
O’FALLON – On August 29, 2025, the O’Fallon Police Department requested the Illinois State Police (ISP) Zone 6 to investigate an officer involved shooting.

At approximately 7:43 p.m. on August, 29, 2025, O’Fallon Police Department officers responded to a call in the 600 block of W. Madison St. in O’Fallon, IL for a report of a disturbance and a man armed with a knife. Upon arrival, officers saw two people covered with blood running from a man armed with a knife outside the residence. Officers engaged with the man, who refused to drop the knife, and an officer fired their firearm, striking the man. Officers rendered aid, but the man was pronounced deceased on scene. The two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening cuts and stab wounds. The officer was not injured.

After a thorough investigation, ISP will turn all reports over to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office. The investigation is active and ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
