Kick off the holiday season with us at O'Fallon's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, hosted by Mayor Hennessy!

Join us on Wednesday, November 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at O'Fallon City Hall for an evening filled with festive fun. Bring the whole family to enjoy caroling, pictures with Santa, holiday treats, games and crafts, train rides, and the countdown to light the big tree.

Community members gathered at the Krekel Civic Center today for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of O'Fallon's newest Little Free Library. Built on a simple "take a book, share a book" premise, this charming addition offers visitors of all ages a convenient, free way to discover new stories and share favorite reads with neighbors.

This project was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of the St. Charles County Realtors Leadership Academy, who spearheaded the initiative and generously donated the initial collection of starter books to stock the library. Be sure to stop by the Krekel Civic Center during your next visit to pick up a new read or leave one behind for someone else to enjoy!

The O'Fallon Police Department invites seniors and their family members to a free live webinar tomorrow, October 14, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the O'Fallon Senior Center.

This webinar is hosted by FBI St. Louis and discusses common frauds and scams that target older adults.

We've seen far too many people fall victim to these ongoing scams, often losing their life savings in a matter of minutes.

We encourage seniors, along with their family members, to attend Wednesday's free webinar hosted by the FBI.

We will also have a detective in attendance to answer any fraud or scam related questions you may have.

Main Street Phase 3 Construction Update

Beginning the week of October 19, Main Street between O'Fallon City Hall and St. Joseph Avenue will be reduced to one lane of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic as construction begins on the Main Street Phase 3 Project.

This traffic impact is expected for approximately 9 months while roadway and infrastructure improvements are completed.

Please plan for additional travel time, follow all posted traffic control devices, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Time is running out to register for fall fun at the Renaud Center! The deadline to pre-register for our Pumpkin Plunge on Friday, October 16 is quickly approaching.

During this festive event, kiddos can dive into the pool to search for their perfect pumpkin before heading to our decorating station to craft a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Once their pumpkin is decorated, the fun isn't over—kids can hop right back into the pool for even more aquatic adventures!

Available Sessions:
• 11:00 a.m. (Ages 1 to 5)
• 5:30 p.m. (Ages 5 to 8)
• 7:00 p.m. (Ages 9 to 12)

O'Fallon's Parks & Recreation crews and local community organizations are ready to bring the magic this holiday season! In preparation for Celebration of Lights, Fort Zumwalt Park will have limited access beginning Monday, October 12th. While the park will be closed to vehicle traffic, limited parking will be available at the front entrance, and patrons are welcome to enjoy walks through the park and fishing. The Fort Disc Golf Course and the playground will also be closed during this time.

All visitors should be aware that our crews will be setting up displays, and moving large equipment throughout the park during this time.

Join us for Food Truck Fright this Friday, October 9, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Dames Park! Halloween costumes are encouraged, so wear your favorite festive outfit and enjoy an evening filled with spooky food truck fun.

Grab dinner or dessert from a great lineup of food trucks, including On the Rocks Beverage Company, Dynasty Manna, Mr. Noodle, Doughboy's Wood Fired Pizza, Pop N Pour LLC, Jr's Tacos, Beverly Ann's Cookie Truck, C&G Kitchens, and Duchess Rose Royal Street Food.

Kids can meet costumed characters and show off their best moves on the dance floor with a live DJ. To top off the night, bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an outdoor movie screening of the 2025 live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon on the athletic field starting at 6:45 p.m. See you there!
