Last Tuesday, our 2026 Village of Oak Brook interns took center stage at the Village Board meeting to present their capstone project to the Board and community!

Throughout the summer, our interns worked together to research, analyze, and develop recommendations addressing the future of Village facilities. Their presentation was the culmination of weeks of collaboration, department engagement, and hands-on experience in local government.

We’re proud of the hard work, professionalism, and fresh perspectives they brought to the Village this summer.

Not Your Average Day at the Office!

Our interns took their summer experience to new heights with the Oak Brook Fire Department! They geared up like firefighters, got an up-close look at the tools of the trade, learned what it takes to serve the community, and even headed up in the bucket truck for one of the best views in Oak Brook!

A huge thank you to the Oak Brook Fire Department for showing our interns the ropes and giving them a hands-on experience they definitely won’t forget.

What an incredible night! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for National Night Out! From the pool party and Touch-A-Truck to meeting our first responders, local vendors, and neighbors, it was a wonderful evening.

A huge thank you to ADT for their incredible generosity in presenting the Oak Brook Police Department with a $10,000 donation to benefit Special Olympics Illinois. Your support will make a meaningful impact, and we are grateful for your commitment to our community and this outstanding organization.

Also a big thank you to the Oak Brook Police Department, Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club, the Community Engagement Committee, our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and Village staff who made this event possible.

Storm Damage Assessment:

The Village is aware of downed branches and street flooding from the storm. When weather conditions allow, staff will be out assessing and remediating any issues, starting with the most serious.

Report any power outages directly to ComEd. Residents can visit ComEd's outage map online to check on the current status of any outages and also sign up to receive text updates on restoration times.
