More than just a new look, the library offers new opportunities for learning by providing the community with an extensive collection of print and electronic resources, technology, and community activities.

Looking for a Halloween costume? "Shop" the free swap hosted by the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library on Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM - 1 PM or while supplies last.

Have a costume to donate? Drop off like-new and newly-cleaned costumes/accessories at the library's 1st floor Service Desk from Tuesday, September 1 – Thursday, September 24. Donations will not be accepted on the day of the event. We will not accept face paint or makeup. We reserve the right to remove costumes for any reason.

This program is for all ages and will take place in the Multi-purpose Room. Registration is not required.

On the afternoon of September 12, author Malcolm McDowell Woods will join us to discuss his book "What the Tide Leaves Behind: A Novel of County Donegal."

This book is a heartwarming story about the healing power of community, friendship and the unique bond between man and dog, set along the rugged beauty of the northwestern coast of Ireland. Accompanying his presentation, Mr. Woods will have photos from Ireland which inspired the novel. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Order from the Jersey Mike's located at 8880 S Howell Ave in Oak Creek on Tuesday, September 8 from 4 - 9 PM and the Friends will receive 25% of the profits. Just present them with a copy of our special form when ordering for it to count!
