Birthday cake kits donated by the Life Skills special education class at the HS were delivered today. Thankful for our partnerships and thankful for our students and teachers that made these. We know families will be thankful for them!

Today, we’re incredibly thankful for Amanda Worley, our Community Services League - Blue Springs Office & Community Services League - Oak Grove Office Site Manager, who was honored with the Oak Grove Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.

Amanda has been with CSL for 5 years, and her heart for serving others is evident in everything she does.

We asked Amanda what she loved most about working at CSL, “My favorite part of my job is simply being able to make an impact every single day. I can’t change the world but I CAN change someone’s day. It may be using resources to help their situation, simply giving them food or even being able to provide them a voucher for hearing aids. The impact we can make with kindness and compassion goes a long way.”

At last night's Board of Aldermen meeting Mayor Webb presented the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund donations to Amanda Doss, Director of Oak Grove Community Services League. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to this great cause which directly helps members of our community.

Our schools/city show up for us day in and day out but today was a little more than the usual.

Our high school student council went Christmas shopping for students in their own school that will be adopted for Christmas. They picked gifts that they would pick for themselves to help other teenagers have gifts on Christmas morning. ❤️
Our middle school and elementary school had a Battle of the Bins the last 2 weeks to see who what grade/staff could fill their bin the most. In 5 years, I’ve never seen our city workers bring in SO many items just from our own students and staff to feed our town!
We are SOO thankful!!!
