The Oak Grove Police Department, in collaboration with the Mid-America Crisis Intervention Team (MACIT), is proud to announce that Police Officer Scott Riggs has been named the MACIT โ€“ Oak Grove CIT Officer of the Year. He received this prestigious honor at the MACIT Awards Banquet held last night.

Throughout 2025, Officer Riggs has shown a strong commitment to assisting members of our community who face mental health challenges. He has gone above and beyond to connect those in need with vital mental health resources and has consistently followed up to ensure they receive the care they need.

The Oak Grove Police Department is dedicated to working closely with mental health providers, such as the Burrell Center, which supplies a part-time mental health co-responder to accompany Oak Grove officers and provide on-site support and resources. Throughout 2025, Officer Riggs has collaborated effectively with our co-responder, conducting home visits and follow-ups.

Please join us in thanking Officer Riggs for his outstanding service!
