Police Week 2026. We pause to honor the men and women who put on the badge daily with courage, compassion and an unwavering commitment to serve others.

We remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and stand beside the families and loved ones who carry that loss forever.

Officers, thank you for the long hours, the missed holidays, the difficult calls and the quiet moments of service that often go unseen.

Chief Lynch was delighted to receive a certificate of appreciation from the Family Readiness Group with 2nd Brigade 526 LSB.

The police department was happy to support the FRG by providing gun locks, which were thoughtfully included in care packages given to Soldiers and their families during the government shutdown.

We take great pride in supporting our local military community and look forward to finding more ways to help in the future.

Happy Sunday!

Hope you're having an amazing day filled with sunshine and good vibes!

We wanted to share the latest update on the upcoming severe storm risk to help you stay safe. There are two key times to watch out for in western Kentucky:

1.Monday night
2.Tuesday afternoon through the night

On Monday night, storms will arrive from the northwest late in the evening and continue across the region overnight. The main concern will be damaging winds, but we could also see some tornadoes.

Come Tuesday afternoon and into the night, the chance of severe storms depends a lot on what happens overnight, but if storms develop, they could bring damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail. During both events, some areas might experience heavy rainfall and temporary street flooding, but widespread flooding isn't expected right now.

To stay prepared, make a plan, and have multiple ways to receive alerts—like weather apps, call services, and radios. Remember, thunderstorm forecasts can change quickly, so keep an eye on trusted weather updates to stay informed and safe.

The drug take-back event was an incredible success, collecting just over 56 pounds of medications. We welcomed visitors from Clarksville, Fort Campbell, and Herndon, all coming together for a worthy cause.

Oak Grove Police is honored to partner with the DEA and Wal-Mart to host this important event.

Remember, we’re always here to help. Medications and other drugs can be anonymously dropped off at our designated box behind City Hall on Pembroke Oak Grove Road anytime.
