Each campaign I've had the pleasure of running in has enhanced my love for Oak Harbor. Knocking on thousands of doors and hearing the diverse needs of Oak Harbor’s 25,000 residents further fuels my desire to drive our community forward.

We came within 334 votes of realizing our ultimate goal of winning this election for the people. Our continued efforts of engagement will hopefully restore the voices of all who call Oak Harbor home. I look forward to continuing to serve each of you as a City Councilmember, as many of you know I won't be outworked. The exciting path of Oak Harbor’s Council continues to develop.

I humbly congratulate our Mayor Elect and I look forward to working together on our shared objectives.

Election Update:
Polls closed several days ago and we find ourselves in a regrettable position of being down by 334 votes. The number of outstanding votes are yet to be determined, there are 265 challenged ballots in Island County. I trust that our elections office will have accurately tabulated results by the 28th of November. Verify that your ballot has been accepted at https://voter.votewa.gov/WhereToVote.aspx

Many concerning actions took place throughout this campaign that leave me very concerned for Oak Harbor’s future. I'm not here to tell you everything will be okay, because I'm not sure that it will. Likewise, I'm not here to ask that you throw your support behind my opponent, many of you have made it crystal clear you never will. The purpose of this communication is to assure you that I'll always be your warrior and moving Oak Harbor forward will always be my focus.

Our shared focus and your continued engagement ensures that we'll overcome all obstacles and that a better tomorrow is still in our future.
