Whidbey Island, get ready! Fitz & The Tantrums, joined by Alana Springsteen, will take the stage August 8 for a FREE Operation MWR concert hosted by Navy Entertainment and presented by USAA.

Event Eligibility: This event is open to all with valid Department of War (DoW) ID cards and base access. DoW ID card holders (Active Duty, Dependents, Retirees, Reservists, and Civilians) can sponsor guests. All guests must be in the same vehicle as their DoW ID card holder and be wearing a seatbelt when entering the base. Guests 18 and over must show a REAL ID-compliant form of identification, such as a Washington State Enhanced Driver License, or a valid U.S. passport. 🌞School's out and summer is here, and for teens in our community, we have a ton to offer to keep you busy and having fun! Check out the field trips that we have available! Join us to go on fun hikes and parks or just to have a chance to explore the local area, all organized by the NAS Whidbey Island Youth Center. If you'd like to join on one of our trips, make sure to register your teen at the Youth Center front desk, located in the Victory Terrace housing community at 54 Wake Ave, BLDG. 2874.

Don’t miss out!

Operation Homefront is excited to share that registration is now open for our 2026 Back-to-School Brigade® event in Oak Harbor, WA! This year’s program will provide 200 military children from the Whidbey community with backpacks, school supply kits, and gift cards, helping to ease the financial strain on families as they prepare for the new school year.

This event will be held on July 29th at the PNW Naval Air Museum! Registration is now open through our MyOH events registration system at my.operationhomefront.org.

Eligibility for this event includes:

Post 9/11 wounded, ill, or injured service member of any rank, both currently serving and those no longer serving in the military or,
E1-E6 Active Duty
