Family caregiving isn’t easy, and asking for help doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you care enough to recognize when you need support, too.
This is a great read for anyone caring for a loved one. Knowing when to ask for help can make all the difference for you AND for the person you’re caring for.

Many seniors wish to age in place, and family caregivers are often able to provide the support they need for a while. However, it’s important to recognize when hiring in-home care for elderly loved ones becomes necessary.

🌳 Senior Day in the Park is TOMORROW! 🌳
Come join us tomorrow from 10:00 AM–1:30 PM at Maiben Park in Burlington for a fun day celebrating seniors and the amazing community that supports them! 💙
It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with senior-focused organizations and learn more about the services available throughout Skagit County. There will be music, lunch, lots of cool FREE stuff, and plenty of friendly faces!
But most importantly, it’s a chance to chat, connect, and build relationships with the people working every day to support seniors, caregivers, and families in our community.
We’d love to see you there! Come say hi, grab some lunch, enjoy the music, and learn a little more about all the incredible resources available to our seniors. 🌷

Sometimes the smallest hands make the biggest impact. 💛 We had a visit recently from baby Silas!
For someone living with dementia, spending time with a baby can bring moments of joy, calm, and connection. Babies have a beautiful way of living in the present. Offering smiles, laughter, gentle touch, and unconditional acceptance.
These simple interactions can spark memories, reduce stress, encourage communication, and remind us that love doesn't require words.
The youngest and oldest generations have so much to give each other. Sometimes, healing looks as simple as a tiny hand holding one that's lived a lifetime.

A huge thank you to Island Transit for picking our friend up today and giving her a ride home! We’re so grateful to have such a wonderful service that’s willing to work with us for anyone who might benefit from a ride to or from our program.
