Island County Democrats

Island County Democrats The Island County Democratic Party is the official local organization of the Washington State Democratic Party in Island County. (ICD or ICDCC)

The Island County Democrats is the official branch of the Democratic Party in Island County, Washington, as established by Washington State Statute (see RCW 29A.80 et seq.). We operate a Political Action Committee (ICDPAC) in accordance with the state’s Public Disclosure Commission (PDC), and we provide financial support to candidates and ballot initiatives. Your support will help us elect people

who share our values, and to conduct party caucuses, select delegates to participate in State Party events, draft and forward resolutions to the State Party, conduct voter registration and general Get-out-the-Vote Drives, carry on the day-to-day activities of our local organization and grow the Party! Supporting and strengthening your local Democratic Party is perhaps the best way to ensure that the state and national level Democratic Parties stay true to democratic principles and the values of the grassroots. Thank you for your generous support!

NO HATE IN WA STATE CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
Here’s a heads-up on two hateful state-wide ballot measures that threaten Washington children. The No Hate in WA State campaign, which officially launches at an event in Seattle on Wednesday, is fighting IL26-001 and IL26-638, MAGA mega donor-backed measures that would put child abuse victims, LGBTQ+ kids, and all girls at greater risk of harm. As the campaign explains:
IL26-001 removes common sense protections for child abuse victims, and forces schools to out LGBTQ+ students to abusive families. IL26-628 is the most extreme measure of its kind in the country because it could put girls at greater risk of harm by requiring invasive, medically unnecessary ge***al exams to play sports, all to ban 5 to10 trans girls from school teams. JUNE 14: FREELAND “RISE UP, SING OUT” WATCH PARTY
