The school district was founded on July 1, 1967 due to the consolidation of the Benton Township School District, the Carroll Township School District, and the Salem-Oak Harbor School District.Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District, home of the Oak Harbor Rockets, serves 1700 students on three campuses: R.C. Waters Elementary School (Grades K--3), Oak Harbor Middle School (Grades 4--7), and Oak

Harbor High School (Grades 8--12). The district is committed to serving the needs of all students to prepare them for the challenges of citizenship, the workforce, and life long learning.

🚀 Oak Harbor Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Announced!

Congratulations to this year’s inductees:

⭐ Tom Osborne — Coaching/Volunteer
⭐ Tait Miller — Wrestling, Class of 1996
⭐ Shelley Whitaker — Volleyball & Softball, Class of 1991
⭐ Nathan Vandersluis — Basketball, Class of 2001
⭐ Jim Ford — Golf, Class of 1975

Inductees will be introduced during the Homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 2, with a banquet and ceremony to follow on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Oak Harbor High School.

🚀 Back-to-School Supply Kits are now available for R.C. Waters Elementary and Oak Harbor Intermediate families!

Teacher-approved kits can be ordered in under 2 minutes and will be labeled and delivered directly to school before the first day.

Order at: www.unitedschoolsupplies.com using the school codes provided.

Be sure to enter your student’s name and NEXT YEAR’S grade level when ordering.

The last day to order during the regular ordering period is June 18. After that, kit prices will increase by 10%. Prices for headphones, backpacks, water bottles, and similar items will remain the same.
