The purpose of

the Family Readiness Group (FRG) is to help plan, coordinate, and conduct informational, care-taking, morale-building and social activities to enhance preparedness, and mission readiness and to increase the resiliency and well-being of personnel and their families. FRGs may offer programs or services that complement appropriated-fund or non-appropriated-fund activities on an installation, but they should not compete with such programs. The Ombudsman is a volunteer, appointed by the commanding officer, to serve as an information link between leadership and families. They also provide resource referrals when needed and are instrumental in resolving family issues before the issues require extensive attention. The ombudsman is appointed by and works under the guidance of the command officer who determines the priorities of the program, the roles and relationships of those involved in it, and the type and level of support it will receive.
***PLEASE NOTE: Your Ombudsmen are Mandatory Reporters for Child Abuse/Neglect, Domestic Abuse, suspected/potential Homicide and suspected/potential Su***de.***
