I promised my child I would refrain from political activities until at least January. Y’all are making me break a promise to my kid.
To the “Super-Super Majority” of the West Virginia Legislature, try to be less of garbage humans. We are all still watching and more and more of us are getting fed up. Gerrymandering did you a solid this time but when you start promoting sexual assault as a benefit of marriage including “child brides,” you are cutting your nose off to spite your face. First, NO ONE should so casually discuss children being married off to and ADULT as if they are talking about the weather. ESPECIALLY the party that is supposed to be “Pro-life.” What kind of life would this create for a CHILD that is married off? Second, NO ONE should condone any form of sexual assault or pardon it due to a legal relationship status. I do not care what political party you belong to we are all humans and this is WRONG. If you have even a minute piece of empathy or humanity inside of you, there is no way you can support this. This is another showing of the majority’s need to have control. They took away reproduction healthcare and now it’s okay to be r***d in your home where you should be safe.
*Oh and about the books…LET PARENTS PARENT. Worry about fixing our roads and all the other “maintenance and projects we put off” so you could show a huge budget surplus.

It's going to be another ugly session, but we're aren't going anywhere. We'll need all of you with us in the fights to come.

I would like to thank all 5,157 people that voted for me. I only lost my part of Fayette County by 239 votes. I was truly a one woman show, that was social media blacked out for 87 days after I filed my candidacy and my biggest contributor to fundraising was the 20 bucks my sister donated to make sure my website was working.
I am honored that the exposure I pressed to get the last month leading up to the elections or the distaste of my opponent got me almost 22% of the votes. I feel like this is huge for me as a woman and a Libertarian that went up against an incumbent of a “supermajority.”
I have learned during this process that I cannot do this alone or without having money for signs and mailers. I also went through the numbers precinct by precinct and places I went in person, I did rather well. Next time…Yes, next time….I know better what I need to do.
I am super excited to see the Amendments are getting hammered.
Also super excited to congratulate Elliott Pritt for House of Delegates and use this fantastic graphic😂

Polls are closed. Now we wait. Good luck to all the candidates I had the pleasure of meeting during this journey. Thank you all for being so kind.
I also want to send a special good luck to fellow NHS alumni, Rusty Williams for House. He’s been fighting from the outside for a long, long time. Our views might not align on everything but I feel we see eye to eye on preserving rights and expanding on them.

I have spent the past 3 hours answering texts, emails and messages about the amendments. There still seems to be some confusion.
Amendment 1: Vote NO
It is to give absolute authority to the West Virginia Legislature over impeachment. If they follow the rules that already exist in the constitution, having checks and balances would be welcome. It is a power grab- carte blanche to do what they want.
Amendment 2: Vote NO
This gives the legislature authority to write new tax code on how your property-real and personal-is accessed so it is “uniform” throughout the state. It does give them the ability to exempt, but we all know that will take years. They did not vote to permanently cut 10% of our income taxes this summer, so I know where there head is at on this. It’s to redistribute county revenue to more out of state appealing counties and let us little guys suffer.
Amendment 3:
Vote with your heart.
This gives churches and religious organizations the ability to incorporate. This allows them equal protections to that of businesses. This will make it easier to purchase and transfer property. It will also shield members against personal liability. It however, will NOT shield bad actors or the “business” from your ability to sue for damages.

Amendment 4:
Vote NO
This gives the Legislature supreme control over policies and rules that govern all of the public schools in WV. We elect county BOE members so we have local input into how the schools our children attend are ran. We should not have to go to Charleston to fight an added layer of bureaucracy when they start trying to white-wash the curriculum and set rules that will be damaging to the mental health of our students. They keep talking about enrollment trending down, this WILL escalate that trend. It won’t just be parents yanking their kids from the schools, the already critically low amount of teachers, administrators, and counselors/psychologist will bounce out too.

I am really nervous about tomorrow. If you didn’t early vote please make sure you get out tomorrow and vote!
There is so much riding on the election right here in WV and Nationally. We need more diversity within the West Virginia Legislature. We need regular people that know the true problems we face here in this state that are willing to get to work to find solutions. The people should hold the power. Localities should not have to ask permission to do their jobs or the money back to do it.
Do not let it be centralized which will embolden them to take more. If you care about your rights, keeping them, and want them to be equal to the rights your neighbors have…we cannot leave things in the hands of the “Supermajority.”

Vote NO on amendments 1,2,4 they ARE power grabs!
Vote your heart on Amendment 3. I will be voting yes.

If you live in Fayette County please consider voting YES to the levy. This adds enrichment to education, safety on trips, and breakfast and lunch to ALL the students in Fayette County. Yes, a Libertarian asked you to consider voting to renew a tax. We cannot let the students down. Their futures depend on these things and until there is a stream of revenue in place, I am not willing to toy with their lives.

A Beckley attorney said stories shared with him by roughly a dozen women in southern West Virginia, alleging sexual harassment by Del. Austin Haynes, show a clear pattern.

Had a great time at the honk and wave in Fayetteville today. I got to meet and talk with members of the Fayette County ATF, Elliott Pritt for House of Delegates, and Christian Martine, West Virginia House of Delegates. Gabe Peña for WV House of Delegates was there too but I didn’t get an opportunity to talk with him. It smidge past my campaign district line, but I support voting “NO” on amendments 2 and 4 and as a Fayette County resident, voting ”YES” for the Fayette County School Levy. I have already gone on about why it is important to vote “NO” on amendments 2 and 4. Voting ”YES” for the levy is important because it provides free breakfast and lunch to all Fayette County students, some of our students are reliant on those meals due to food insecurity at home. It also provides safe bus travel for field trips, athletics and educational and skills competitions, technology upgrades, text books, playground equipment and so much more. I am a Libertarian, and I would like to see new revenue opportunities for the state/localities to ease the tax burden of your citizens, but in the meantime I will support what is necessary to provide better and safer opportunities for the students of my county. This includes my two children.
