Students from Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School conducted a field study for their ecology unit today at Wolfe Wildlife (109th & Laramie). They measured water temperature, walked the trail exploring the ecosystem, looked at interactions that take place between organisms, and the factors in their environment. Thank-you for coming out and we hope you learned a lot and had fun! 🦆🌳🪲🏫

Try them for yourself by dropping in to use the weight room for just $4 for residents ($7 for non-residents).

Some serious pickleball being played at the Community Pavilion (9401 S. Oak Park Ave.) lately now that we offer drop-in play. For just $5, you can come play Monday-Friday from 6:00 am-3:00 pm. Better bring your A-game on Monday/Wednesday from 8:30-11:30 am, as that's the time designated for advanced players. Have fun! 👊

Last night, we honored those that have been with the Park District anywhere from 5, 10, 15, 20, and even 35 years. Our passionate and committed staff are why everything we offer to the community is done with a unique energy and an unmatched level of care. Thank you to all our staff! 👏

At last night's Board of Commissioners meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing our Special Olympics Volleyball teams for qualifying for the Illinois Special Olympic State Games in Rockford and earning silver medals. We also honored the Stagg High School Key Club as our Volunteers of the Month. They were integral in assisting with our Howl-O-Ween event back on October 22. They were eager to help and ensure that everyone in attendance had a great time. 🏐 🥈 🔑
