Snow, mainly after 3pm. High near 33. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight
Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 3am, then rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain between 3am and 4am, then rain after 4am. The snow could be heavy at times. Temperature rising to around 35 by 5am. Breezy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming south southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Wednesday
Rain before 2pm, then a chance of rain and snow between 2pm and 5pm, then a slight chance of snow after 5pm. Temperature rising to near 39 by 10am, then falling to around 33 during the remainder of the day. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

All: Power has been restored to all Oak Lawn addresses.
All: We currently have 696 customers without power, down from 1200 yesterday. Com Ed crews are continuing to work to restore power to all remaining customers. If you live in an area currently without power, please remember to check on elderly or disabled neighbors who could be affected by the heat. The Village continues to work with COM Ed to get everyone back on line.
All: Com Ed crews are continuing work to restore power. As of 12:30 approximately 1200 residents are still off line. They are targeting their response to the largest outages in Oak Lawn and will continue to work until all are restored.
All: As you aware yesterday storm caused significant damage to the COM Ed system. Currently about 4,000 residents are without power in Oak Lawn. The Village is working with COM ED to restore power. This will take time. If your have no power, please report your address by calling 1-800-334-7661, this may take several attempts.
The high temperature will be about 82 degrees, please remember to check on elderly or disabled neighbors who may be experiencing difficulties. We will be posting updates throughout the day. Please be patient.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Produce Mobile program provides emergency and supplemental food products to different communities throughout Cook County.

Due to the storm yesterday, there are scattered power outages in the area (99 customers in total, this number is down from 509 at 3pm yesterday). ComEd crews are still working in the area to restore power to those affected. The estimated restoration time given is 7pm to 9pm tonight.
There is an additional chance for Thunderstorms after 9am this morning, which may cause delays in power restorations.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced today that applications are now open for the Community Recovery Loan Fund. Launched as part of the Bureau of Economic Development’s Community Recovery Initiative, the $10 million Community Recovery Fund offers one-time, zero-interest loans of up to $20,000 for small businesses and up to $10,000 for independent contractors.
This program will serve suburban Cook County businesses with less than 25 employees and less than $3 million in annual revenue, or independent contractors with less than $100,000 in yearly income who earn at least 50 percent of their revenue from contracting work. Self-employed, independent contractors such as rideshare drivers and other gig industry workers residing in South Suburban Cook County are eligible.
Once launched, applications will be open for ten days. We will consider the following in our review of all the applications submitted:
• Eligibility – Applicants must meet all the criteria identified in the form, submit all the requested materials, and submit them via the portal by June 8, 2020. Incomplete applications will not be considered-(June 17th, See Below)
• Geography: Loans will be awarded across all suburban Cook municipalities.
• Priority will be given to applicants located in Economically Disconnected Areas or Disinvested Areas and businesses owned by women, minorities, persons with disabilities, or veterans.

There is a march that is planned today at 3:00 pm. The route will go from 95th and Southwest Highway and head east to the municipal building (9446 S Raymond Ave.) and back west to the starting point.

The Village is enacting a 9 pm curfew due to civil unrest in nearby communities until Wednesday (June 3rd, 2020). We have extra police patrols out to quell any local problems. Thank you for your cooperation. Any one out after 9 pm will be stopped and possibly fined or arrested. Curfew will end at 5 am. Thank you for your cooperation!
