Historic Grove Theater

Historic Grove Theater This Historic Grove Theater exists to promote community among artists, educators, and everyone in between. Thanks for stopping by!
(1)

Built between 1943-1944 during the Manhattan Project era, the historic Grove Theater holds many fond memories for long time Oak Ridgers. Condemned and left abandoned for years, the theater was purchased in 20014 by High Places Community Church and restoration efforts begun (and continue) for the space. The theater is currently home to many performances, benefit concerts, Arts groups, and education

activities for the city. The mission of the Grove Theater is simply, to promote community. We do this by offering the space at no charge to our community with the hopes of inspiring a "pay it forward" mindset in all we do!

Brilliance. Wit. Unstoppable energy.

On September 12, the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra opens its season under the baton of Music Director Ian Passmore, and this program brings it all: brilliance, wit, and pure momentum from the first note.

Wagner's jubilant Meistersinger Prelude. Stravinsky's sparkling Pulcinella Suite. Beethoven's Electrifying Seventh Symphony. And Carlos Simon's Fate Now Conquer, a bold contemporary response to Beethoven's immortal rhythmic pulse.
Four composers. Three centuries. One unforgettable night.
