Next week is the final week to catch the Sunshine Bus! Don't miss this opportunity for children and teens 18 and younger to receive a FREE healthy lunch all summer long—no sign-up or registration required.

We're thankful for the partnership between Oak Ridge Schools, Southwest Food Excellence (SFE), and ETHRA that helps make this program possible for families across our community. Check out this WBIR feature to learn more about this amazing collaboration, then make plans to visit one of the Sunshine Bus stops before the program wraps up!

You can find the bus Monday–Friday at the stops below through Friday, June 26.

• 11:00–11:30 a.m. – Oak Ridge Civic Center
• 12:00–1:00 p.m. – Oliver Springs Library
• 1:25–2:00 p.m. – Clinton Splash Pad
• 2:30–3:00 p.m. – Rocky Top Splash Pad

The bus provides free meals for kids in Anderson County, all they have to do is hop on.

RMS students recently rolled up their sleeves for a day of hands-on learning at ! They explored the importance of sustainable gardening by learning about composting and decomposition, weeding garden beds, clearing rocks, and even digging an aquifer to help wash fresh vegetables.

The day also included an engaging lesson about beneficial and harmful insects and the important role they play in a healthy garden ecosystem. We're grateful for opportunities like this that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while teaching the value of environmental stewardship and giving back to the community!

To ensure consistency and provide the highest level of service to our students, families, staff, and community members, all district departments and school offices will maintain summer hours from 8:00-4:00 Monday through Friday, beginning June 5.

Regular office hours will resume on Monday, July 6.

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we are grateful to our students, families, and staff for making it one to remember! From exciting learning experiences and new friendships to unforgettable moments and achievements, this year was filled with growth, joy, and success.
