🏀 BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN! 🏀

After earning the 2026 Program Excellence Award for Best Sports, Fitness & Recreation Program in Tennessee by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Tennessee Area Council, we're ready for another great season!

Get your athlete signed up and be part of something special at the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge! (Link to register is below)

Practices start in November, with games beginning in December! Use the following link to get signed up! As a reminder, all participants MUST be active members to play. If they're not, it's only $15 to activate an annual membership. These fees can be paid at the club during business hours.

🌽 Fresh Produce, Free to Our Community! 🥬

One of the things we believe deeply at the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge is that we’re here to be a blessing to our community. That starts with the kids we serve, but that also includes the families and neighbors around us.

Thanks to the generosity of a local donor, we have about 55 pounds of fresh corn available, along with a good amount of fresh okra!

If you or your family could use some, come by the Club by the concession stand and grab some while supplies last. No strings attached. Just good food, shared freely with our community.

We'd like to say thank you to our local neighborhood Rocky Top Markets store for donating Gatorade to our club! With temperatures as high as they've been, these drinks have been a huge help.

With predicted heat index values in the upper 90s this evening, the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge is exercising an abundance of caution and implementing the TSSAA guidelines for a heat index of 100–104°F.

For tonight’s practices:

🏈 Practices will be limited to 60 minutes
💧 At least 20 minutes of rest/water breaks must be included within those 60 minutes
🚫 Full pads are NOT permitted
🪖 Helmets and shoulder pads (“shells”) may only be worn during contact drills and must be removed during non-contact portions of practice.

The safety and well-being of our athletes is always our top priority. We appreciate our coaches and families helping us keep our players safe while still getting valuable work in tonight.

Hydrate. Stay alert. Stay safe.

Cheer Camp was a great way to launch us into game week as our young cheerleaders worked hard, learned new skills, built confidence, and had A LOT of fun along the way!

A special thank you to the Oak Ridge High School Cheerleaders and Dance Cats for helping make the day so memorable.

Now it’s time to put that work into action…

A huge thank you to the Oak Ridge High School Cheerleaders and Dance Cats for spending time with our young cheerleaders at Cheer Camp this morning!

They came to teach skills, giving our kids encouragement, mentorship, confidence, and a whole lot of fun.

There’s something incredibly special about young people looking up to someone just a few years ahead of them and thinking, “I want to be like her someday.”

Young people leading by example.
A community investing in its next generation.

This is bigger than cheer. This is our community. Roll Wildcats Roll!

🏃‍♂️ Something new is coming to the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge... and we couldn't be more excited! 🏃‍♀️

This fall, we're launching a Youth Cross Country Program for students in Grades 3-5!

We believe every young person deserves a place to belong, grow, and discover what they're capable of. Cross country gives us the opportunity to welcome new athletes and new families into the Boys & Girls Club family.

Whether your child is already active or just looking for something new to try, they'll build confidence, perseverance, healthy habits, and friendships that extend far beyond the finish line.

🏅 Program Highlights:
• Grades 3-5
• Opportunity to qualify for the Championship Race and State Meet
• Team shirt included
• Parent Meeting: Tuesday, August 11 at 6:00 PM
• First Practice: Thursday, August 13
