We said a tearful goodbye to our chicky visitors yesterday! They have gone to two separate farms in the community to live their happy chicken lives. We also LOVED all your name suggestions! See the last pictures to see all the names. Some of our favorites include: Cheep Cheep, Ozzy, Chippy, Sleepy, Beep & Squeak, and Peep Peep Peepers!

Last chance to see the chicks today!! NOW until 3pm or tonight from 6-7pm! First come, first serve 15 minute sessions per group!

As you can see, the chicks are already starting to get their feathers! Our reel shows just how active they really are right now, so they will be leaving the library tomorrow!! Come to a meet and greet to pet them or simply stop by the Youth Services desk to say goodbye!

Thank you for a wonderful last Play K this past Friday! We played with mega Lego blocks, brought back our favorite movement cubes and game (Giant Tower Stack - which you can borrow from our Library of Things!), played a new game from "Butt or Face" by Kari Lavelle, and read "The Great Cookie Kerfuffle" by Jessica Shaw. Each kid then got to take home their own copy of "The Great Cookie Kerfuffle" thanks to PA One Book!

Come join us for a meet and greet with the chicks. Tomorrow (Friday) between 12-1 PM or Monday between 2-3 PM or 6-7 PM. First come first served, so you will likely have to wait for your turn. These little ones tire out quickly, so visits won’t be too long.

Speaking of chicks, have you seen our new readiness stations for May? If you can't find the teen post-it board, it's because we moved it to the wall closer to the Café!

Preschool: Feed the Baby Chick - roll the dice and feed the chick that number of "worms" with tweezers to practice math and fine motor skills
Children's Wall: May the Fourth be with you as you vote for your choice option in Star Wars Would You Rather
Teens: Mental Health Awareness Month - take what you need and leave what you can

We are now up to 5 baby chicks! They will remain in the incubator until tomorrow when we can move them into a bigger space and have some meet-and-greets. Stay tuned and come visit!
