Due to prolonged dry weather, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has moved the St. Croix River basin, which includes Oakdale, into the Drought Warning Response Phase. Residents and businesses are encouraged to reduce non-essential water use. In an effort to conserve valuable water resources, please adhere to the City’s odd-even watering schedule. This means odd-numbered addresses can water on odd-numbered days, and even-numbered addresses can water on even-numbered days. Additionally, please refrain from watering between 10 AM and 5 PM when water demand is the greatest.

I am thrilled with the investments and upgrades we are making to Oakdale’s parks. Thank you to our City staff and Hannah Dunn for making this video to share where we are at with Tower and Golfview Parks with the public.

An FYI for my neighbors in Anna’s Grove and for other residents as well.

Beginning Monday, August 10, eastbound 34th Street N/County Road 14 and the associated asphalt trail will close from Interstate 694 to Hadley Avenue N for pipe installation as part of the 3M Surface Water Diversion Project. The closure is expected to last through August 28 but is subject to change.

Please follow the suggested detour which is south on Hadley Avenue N, east on Stillwater Boulevard, and north on Ideal Avenue N.

Future closures of additional roadways in this area for related project work will be shared when available.

Quick heads up on the location change for this meeting. I hope to see residents interested in learning more about the new Police Expansion/City Hall there.

NOTICE: Due to the extreme heat warning and air quality alert, the neighborhood meeting about the Police Expansion and City Hall Remodel Project originally scheduled for tonight (Thursday, July 16) from 6 to 7:30 PM at the Walton Park picnic shelter will now take place at Oakdale Public Works (3200 Granada Avenue N). Anyone planning to attend should park in the staff lot accessible off of 32nd Street N. Staff will be on site to direct attendees to the meeting. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
