π²πͺ TROOP 93: WE CAME. WE SAW. WE LUMBERJACKED. πͺπ²
Week 6 at JN Webster Scout Reservation was one for the books! From sunrise swims to lumberjack games, ATV trails to merit badges, Troop 93 Scouts packed A LOT into one unforgettable week!
πͺ LUMBERJACK GAMES: Our Scouts chopped, hauled, competed, and worked together to bring home 3RD PLACE! π₯πͺ
πββοΈ POLAR BEAR SWIMS: Several brave Scouts earned their Polar Bear Swim Awards by voluntarily getting into very cold water before most people were even awake. π₯Άπ
IRONMAN CHALLENGE: TWO Scouts took on the ultimate camp challenge and completed:
1-mile swim
2-mile canoe
3-mile run
And yes... they were still standing at the end! Their accomplishment also included the BSA Mile Swim Award!
π― MARKSMANSHIP: One Scout earned the Kenneth L. Szablewski Most Proficient Marksman Medal, recognizing outstanding marksmanship in their chosen shooting discipline. π
ποΈ ATV: Three Scouts earned their ATV awards! Because apparently regular wheels weren't adventurous enough. π
MERIT BADGES: Our Scouts were busy earning badges in Climbing, Motorboating, Swimming, Emergency Preparedness, Cybersecurity, Communications, Painting, Chess, Geocaching, Weather, Rifle Shooting, Kayaking, Space Exploration, Photography, Graphic Arts, Robotics, Welding, Metalwork, Digital Technology, Rowing, Movie Making, Game Design, and Architecture!
That's a LOT of learning, skill-building, and probably a LOT of laundry. π
And our leaders weren't sitting around either! One of our adult leaders completed Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), adding even more outdoor training to the Troop 93 toolbox.
A week of adventure. A week of teamwork. A week of new skills, new challenges, and memories that will stick around long after the tents are packed away.
We couldn't be prouder of our Scouts and everything they accomplished this week!
Great job, Troop 93!
Now... who wants to volunteer for next year's Polar Bear Swim? ππ₯Ά
