Brown's Creek Watershed District Preserving the integrity of the watershed for future generations. It is apart of the St. Croix.

The Brown’s Creek Watershed District covers portions of seven municipalities: Stillwater, Oak Park Heights, Lake Elmo, Grant, Hugo, and May Township and Stillwater Township. A watershed is the area of land where all of the water that drains off of it goes into the same place. In Brown's Creek Watershed District, our boundary is determined by all the land that would ultimately drain to Brown's Creek. Croix River watershed, as Brown's Creek is one of the tributaries that feeds into Lake St.

Join us tomorrow at Long Lake for art activities, puppet making, printmaking, a guided contemplative walk, and live aquatic plant demonstrations!

Wear your walking shoes for a stroll on unpaved trails near the lake and bring a water bottle to fill at our water station.

Located on the east side of Long Lake in the Croixwood neighborhood. Come anytime between 10 AM and 2 PM.

Did you know the aquatic plants growing beneath Long Lake's surface are helping restore water quality?

Come meet watershed biologist Jimmy Marty alongside artists Jennifer Awes Freeman, Playdoh Kolo, and Sharon Mansur for making, learning, and exploring.

Still Water, Living Lake is an event happening this Saturday, July 26th, from 10am to 2pm. Join us at city access points to Long Lake in the Croixwood neighborhood of Stillwater. Free and open to all ages!
