Yesterday afternoon many of our volunteers and paid staff took time to enjoy a Washington Wild Things baseball game together with their families. This would not have been possible without the help of The FD Relief Mission of Western PA. While we were spending time together away from the station, 4 firefighters from Munhall #5 and 1 from Wilkins Township #1 manned the Squad so we didn’t have to worry. These guys do awesome work not only locally, but they also acquire various firefighting equipment (including fire trucks) and donate it through out the United States and the Caribbean. Well, we had a hell of a party last night thanks to Timothy Earl, all of the fire departments that came for the parade (especially our new friends from the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department who took the stage for Take me Home Country Roads), but most importantly the citizens that came to support us. With that said, even though we beat the wild fire smoke, there’s certain things we can’t beat. Two of which is our scheduled band Artistry canceling and after a discussion with the US National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA a slow moving storm system that will hit Oakdale between 7 and 9pm that will potentially bring flash flooding. We’ve unfortunately made the decision to cancel the last night of our fair.

A few members are already discussing how we can make up the loss. Keep your eyes open! 🎶🚗🏍️🍻🪗 🤠. Hey Timothy Earl, what’s Oaktober looking like for you guys?
