Come see the historic stained glass windows and the lovely historic church located in Alabama Center, NY. The church is part of our local history, and the congregation is helping to celebrate our town's 200th Anniversary.
Bicentennial hats & t-shirts available.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our Bicentennial celebration today! Thanks to the vendors, volunteers, the Alabama Fire Dept for their hall & grounds, and the Alabama Hotel for the delicious food and ice cream! Special appreciation to Dave Foster, Sons of the American Revolution, for the recognition and proclamation of Amos Starkweather, an American Revolutionary War soldier buried in the Wheatville cemetery, instrumental in building the Alabama Hotel. Thanks to Gingerwood Duo & Craig Wilkins and his band for the wonderful music to celebrate the occasion! A great time was had by all!

The Town of Alabama, NY is gearing up for our Bi-Centennial Celebration on July 11th from 12PM–9PM and we are looking for vendors to join in the fun! 🇺🇸

📍 Event Location: South Alabama Fire Hall
2230 Judge Rd

We are seeking:🛍️ Craft Vendors🎨 Local Businesses🎶 Community Organizations🎈 Family-Friendly Activities & More!

Vendor spaces are available for a $10.00 donation.

This will be a full day of community celebration, entertainment, food, and fun as we celebrate 200 years of Town of Alabama history and pride!

Thank you to everyone that made our Bicentennial Proclamation Day a success!
A special thank you to the Alabama Fire Dept for hosting this event, and to everyone that helped make this day special. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, May 2nd from 12- 2 pm at the Oakfield-Alabama Baptist Church. The church's influence on our town, its history, and building updates will be showcased at the community social. There will also be the "We've Only Just Begun" luncheon , held at the Alabama Fire Hall on Tuesday, April 21st at 11:30 am. Great events for our community!

This Saturday, April 18, 2026 - come celebrate the Town of Alabama's 200th Anniversary Proclamation! The festivities begin at 1 pm at the Alabama Fire Dept, 2230 Judge Rd, Basom, NY. A reenactment of the first town meeting, music, and refreshments. Historical displays will also be on hand. Past & current community members welcome to help us celebrate our Bicentennial!

Come out Saturday, April 11th from 10 am - 2 pm for our day at the museum. Joe Cassidy will be presenting "People, Places, & Structures" from the Town of Alabama. Gabe Foster will be demonstrating the use of a metal detector, and has a display for all to see. Light refreshments will be provided. Where: Alabama Historical Museum located at the Alabama Town Hall. Come out and support our town's Bicentennial celebration year!
