Today, shortly after 10 a.m. today, we received a call for a 5 year old and a dog that went missing from the family's residence. Officer Ribaudo arrived on scene and was able to get a description and a possible route of travel. He requested help from multiple agencies to try and locate both quickly. After several hours, both were found safe and unhurt and have been reunited with their family. Without various partners' help this could have had a different outcome. We'd like to thank the agencies that were involved. Mass State Police and their specialized units; K-9, Airwing, SERT Team. We'd also like to thank the Worcester County District Attorney's Office, Barre Police, North Brookfield Police, Rutland Police, Fitchburg Police, Hampden County Sheriff's Department, Oakham Fire Department, Rutland Fire Department/EMS, Rutland Regional Emergency Communication Center, Central Mass Search and Rescue and the various private citizens. Apologies if we missed anyone. If you were there and helped...THANK YOU!

Farm-stand cash box:

On Sunday, May 22, 2022, the Oakham Police Department took a report for a farm-stand cash box that was broken into, in the South Rd. / Spencer Rd. area. The cash box was pried open with what appeared to be a screwdriver and the cash was removed.

We would like to remind everyone that has a farm-stand cash box to collect the money every evening.

If anyone has observed any suspicious activity in South Rd. area between Saturday, May 21, 2022, and Sunday, May 22, 2022. Please contact Sgt. Tucker at ([email protected]) or call the Oakham Police (508-886-2115).
