The Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) has been expanded to include most of our area. The main severe potential is focused primarily on tonight. The intensity, extent and timing depends on thunderstorm development well to our west and northwest this afternoon.

**UPDATE** JCP&L has updated the anticipated restoration time to 7:30 PM.

The township is experiencing a fairly large power outage particularly in the south east section of the area. JCP&L, via their website, is reporting that resources are being assembled to fix the outage. Expected restoration time is currently 5:30 PM. Due to the weather the OT festival will not be opening tonight. The Fireworks have been rescheduled to SUNDAY night after the concert. Have a great night and stay safe.

🥵⛈️ An extended period of hot and, most notably, very humid conditions begins today. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, but very high humidity will cause heat indices in the upper 90s to low 100s. Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you must spend extended time outdoors.

Scattered afternoon and evening showers/storms along and NW of I-95 could produce localized flash flooding and damaging wind gusts. NEVER drive through flooded roads! Similar weather conditions expected each day through early next week, though Sunday does look dry area wide.
